Congrats Fall Sports!

Congratulations to all the Fall sports teams at Stowe HS but a particular Hats Off to the Boys Soccer team for the defense of their State Championship in Div III soccer. All of Stowe is proud of the accomplishments of this team and Coach Jamie Birmingham, consecutive State Championships, a task well done .

And how about the Girls Soccer team being seeded #12 and reaching the Semi-Finals before bowing to Peoples! To all the Girls and Coach Tim Ziegler, nice work!

Then what we have all come to expect, but that isn't the way sports work and only hard work gets you there, Coach Bev Osterberg once again had the Girls Field Hockey team in the State Championship game only to lose so closely in a shootout on penalty strokes to Rice! The game could have easily gone another way but it doesn't diminish one iota how we feel about the terrific accomplishment this season's Team!

The Cross Country runners under the tutalege of Becky McGovern performed admirably at the State Championships at Thetford Academy and carried the colors of Stowe High School with honor!

Congatulations to all Coaches and the Students who make our Community so very Proud!

Soccer Semi-Final Game Time Change

THURSDAY October 30th.

#3 seed Boys varsity Soccer will play away at #2 Twin Valley at 3PM. Bus leave is set for 10:15AM.

#12 seed Girls varsity soccer will play away at #1 seed Peoples at 3PM. Bus leave is set for 1:45.

MS Girls This Wed and Thursday vs. Montpelier Main St. Middle School

The MS Girls Home Games will be split- The 7/8 Girls will play at home this Wed at 4PM against Montpelier Main St, and the 6/7 Girls will play at home on Thursday at 4PM.

JV Girls vs. Northfield Cancelled 10/10

Northfield does not have enough players for this game. Sorry for the inconvenience.

MS Girls vs. Hazen (1 Game Only) 4PM

Due to a lack of players on both Stowe and Hazen teams, we are only having one MS girls game here tomorrow 10/9 at 4PM.

MS Soccer Updates 10/8

The Lamoille games are rescheduled for this Saturday 10/11. The boys will be playing at Lamoille for 10:00 and 11:15 game times. The girls are home and will be playing later at 2 and 3:15. The boys bus to Lamoille is set for 8:20 from the Elementary School.

The Montpelier Main St. games have been moved to Thursday 10/16. The boys are away at 4 and 5:15 game times, with a bus leave time at 2:30. The girls will be home with a 4 and 5:15 game.

The Soccer Jamboree on Saturday the 18th. is still being organized. North Country canceled out, so we are looking for another school to fill their spot. We will update you on this when we find someone to take the games.

Freshman Boys Game 10/8

The Freshman Boys Game will be moved/played at the Mayo B Field which is across from the Swimming Hole on Weeks Hill Rd.

UPDATE !Girls/Boys 7/8 vs. Barre both @ 4PM-

Both games will now be at 4PM.

JV Girls 9/30 vs. GMVS Cancelled

Due to a lack of players, Stowe has to cancel our JV Girl's Home Game vs. Green Mountain Valley. Varsity is still set to play.

MS Soccer Update 2:30PM!

The MS games today will only be 7/8 teams vs (home) Barre Youth Soccer both Boys and Girls. The Girls' game starts at 4PM and the Boys' game is actually now at 5:15 at the Mayo Fields.

This Thursday 9/25 @ Crosset Brook. There will be one bus taking the 6/7 and 7/8 Girls, and 6/7 boys team at 2:45. There will be another bus taking the 7/8 boys at 3:40 for the later game. One bus for the return trip.

Thank you to everyone for the flexibility in the schedule as soccer season can be difficult with the lack of Refs and changes that occur in the schedule on a weekly basis.
